Description: The Authorised Landfill Sites Dataset is a sub-set of the Agency’s Waste Management Licensing data, store on the Regulation Information System (REGIS). The Authorised Landfill Sites dataset consists of a digital map layer which shows landfill sites in England and Wales.The polygon records created from all waste management licences that have a licence type (LIC_TYPE) of LF, A01, A02, A04, A05, A06, A07, L04, L05, S0901, 5.2A(1) a) and 5.2 A(1)b).The eastings and northings of the Authorised Landfill Sites dataset make up an national grid reference (NGR) that is either the location of the site entrance or the site office.Landfill records contained within the dataset from 1961 to present. Landfills remain in this layer until their licence is surrendered, revoked or expiers.
